Indoor activities are also a part of the recreation programme. The word literally tells us that indoor recreation activities are undertaken on the comfort of ones home or more specifically indoor and they are to recreate the mind and soul. For such indoor recreation activities there are well-established clubs or recreation centers that have well-equipped indoor leisure facilities, which cater for sports activities for all ages and abilities. Such clubs or recreation centers offer a varied programme of activities throughout the year. Activities on offer include swimming, volleyball, table tennis, squash, badminton and even football. For safety of the members, all the staff is trained to the highest standards. Only qualified lifeguards and sports coaches are employed and they are always on hand to give advice and make your visit enjoyable.
Organized activities in such clubs may also include Aerobics, Bowling, Billiards, Golf, Aquatics (a work out in the pool), Karate and Taekwondo.
It should be noted that activities that involve organized competition based on formal rules are, by definition, sports. Competitive versions of some of the above activities also exist. The choice of hours for recreation is, however for employees is restricted by the requirements of, and agreements with, the employer (working time), and for students restricted by school hours. For people with their own business it is also restricted by the requirements of the work, such as the opening hours of the business based on wishes of customers, laws, and customs.
